Inspire Dental To Donate Bikesby jandrews
Inspire Dental Group Employees to Construct, Present Bicycles to Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo as Part of Employee Team-building Event.
Presentation of bikes to take place tomorrow at Coca-Cola Field.
Amherst, NY - Can you keep a secret? This Friday, September 16, approximately 58 employees from Inspire Dental Group's two offices in Amherst and West Seneca know they will be heading to Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo for a team-building event beginning at 10:00 a.m. The practice offices will be closed that day so all employees can participate.
What the Inspire Dental employees don't know is that they will be building bicycles, creating a fake company, with a budget and marketing plan, and setting up a general store, complete with fake money, where they will "sell" the bicycles. In reality, however, the bicycles they build will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo during a special ceremony that will take place at Coca-Cola Field at the Swan Street/Inspire Dental Gate at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon.
Inspire Dental Group contracted with American Outback Adventures, a leading team-building event and group activity producer in North America, to assist the dental practice in setting up this event not only to benefit its employees, but also to benefit the Western New York Community.
"When we started our practice in 2008, it was very important to all four partners that we as a practice become involved in the community," says Managing Partner, Ron Sadler, DDS. "We are proud to support a variety of Western New York charitable organizations, many with a focus on youth, collegiate sports and the arts.
"Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo works with youth from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances, helping to shape their futures so they can develop into adults who succeed," says Sadler.
"We very much believe in the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo, and wanted to foster a long-term relationship with them," says Sadler. "When we reached out to them with the idea of providing bicycles, they thought that was a great idea. Their only request was that the bikes be appropriate for older
Inspire's employees will be constructing 10 bikes geared toward the 10-15-year-old age group, which they will present to Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo representatives Shari McDonough, Chief Professional Officer and Robert Lowery, Director of Program Quality - Full Sites. "We're thrilled to partner with Inspire Dental," says McDonough. "These bikes will be put to very good use and will mean so much to these children. We are very grateful to all the employees at Inspire Dental for taking the time to do this for the Boys & Girls Clubs."
Inspire Dental Group is also donating toothbrushes, and employees are bringing along school supplies to donate to Boys & Girls Club of Buffalo.
