WHO: The Urban Land Institute's Young Leaders Group of Western New York (ULI YLG of WNY), a subsidiary of the global nonprofit research and education organization, the Urban Land Institute, and the Honorable William M. Skretny, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court.
WHAT: Receive an exclusive guided tour of the 10-story, 284,000 square foot Federal Courthouse that houses the U.S. District Court, Court of Appeals, U.S. Probation, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Attorney and GSA. Constructed to meet specific federal standards, the Federal Courthouse is resistant to potential explosives, LEED NC Gold certified, and incorporates features such as a low "e" glazing high performance building envelope, occupancy sensor controls, and low flow water fixtures.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. (tour begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp) followed by networking and cash bar at SOHO Burger Bar.
WHERE: U.S. Federal Courthouse, 2 Niagara Square, Buffalo, NY 14202 (meet in the lobby).
WHY: To provide industry-related professionals and local Western New Yorkers the opportunity to see and learn about the most expensive government building built in the history of the City of Buffalo and Western New York.
