June 25, 2012. BlackDog will be the NCGS Major sponsor at the National Coalition for Girls' Schools (NCGS) annual conference in Dallas, TX on June 25th through 27th, 2012.

While the the member schools of the NCGS take on the critical job of preparing young women to advocate for themselves and succeed in life, most Girls' School brands do a poor job of positioning their relevance, differentiating their mission, and advocating for single-gendered education.

BlackDog provides relevant girl's school brand research through it's not-for-profit, Serious Play for Serious Girls. NCGS member schools can leverage this research to radically change the world around us- from raising female participation in politics to closing the gender wage gap.

What's the Cost of Not Connecting? Research proves that "Girls in single-sex schools perform better than girls in co-ed schools, regardless of socio-economic and ability levels." 1 From day one girls' schools were established with a conscious intention to advantage women to compete. When did they become an "alternative" to consider?

Need an example? "Women hold only 17% of the seats in Congress."

This means "the U.S. is currently ranked 87th in the world for the number of women serving in its national legislature."3 "Women who attend all-girl schools are more politically engaged than their co-ed counterparts."
