Since 2001, Urban Valet Cleaners has been working with families whose homes have been damaged by fire, smoke, water and mold. The company has special cleaning processes that allow for the successful remediation of clothes and most other textiles in the home. Urban Valet serves the Western and Central New York markets, and has made significant investments in technology, vehicles and personnel to keep up with demand.

Although Urban Valet's President Eric Pyne was solicited by multiple textile franchises, he felt that for Urban Valet, none were the right fit. Instead, Urban Valet has elected membership in the North American Restoration Dry Cleaners group (N.A.R.D). "I chose N.A.R.D over the franchise opportunities because I found the members to be so competent and committed to this industry and the customers they serve," said Pyne. N.A.R.D  brings together industry leading, independently owned dry cleaning businesses that offer the insurance industry elite level, standardized textile restoration services on a national scale.

Joining N.A.R.D was a process for Urban Valet that started in the Summer of 2011. First, Pyne was approached by Fabric Renewal owner Jim Fenyohazi, a founding member of N.A.R.D whose business covers a four state area in the northeast. Pyne was then invited to Chicago to meet and interview with the Board of Directors.  After submitting a full application in the Fall, Urban Valet was unanimously approved by the Board in November. "In meeting the membership and spending three days with them in Chicago, there was just a wonderful intuitive feeling that I came away with," said Pyne. "They are a group of honest, hard working folks from all around the country, and they share a common interest - being the very best. They are innovators and leaders in their respective markets. It's really a great fit for us."

N.A.R.D. and Urban Valet share a common commitment to responsible claims handling and superior service. In addition to ensuring complete customer satisfaction, N.A.R.D members give back to their communities by teaming up with the Salvation Army in the Restoring Responsibility program. "Urban Valet is really excited to participate in this program and to have the opportunity to support the Western New York Salvation Army in such a significant way," notes Pyne. Items that are not wanted by the insured are removed from their home, cleaned free of charge and donated on the homeowners behalf. "It's really a wonderful program," he added.

Jennifer Helpard of the Salvation Army was happy to setup a local partnership with Urban Valet "How pleased I was to receive a call from Urban Valet Restoration Dry Cleaners in Buffalo, New York, asking about making donations to our Salvation Army Center," she said. "We are in the business of recycling donated goods which in turn fund our program to help us recycle lives back into productive members of society.  We look forward to working together for years to come!  It is individuals and businesses working together that make our world a better place to live."

Urban Valet Dry Cleaners was founded in 1995 by local businessman Eric Pyne.  The company has three retail locations in Western New York, and provides FREE home or office pickup and delivery throughout the area.
