Miller Tennis Center will be hosting the first women's professional tennis tournament ever held in Western New York. The Sargent & Collins, LLP Women's $10,000 Championships will be played June 26-July 3, 2011 and feature many of the top female tennis players from all over the world. The clay court event includes players with world rankings competing in both singles and doubles. Everyone is invited to watch emerging athletes from the US, Brazil, Russia, Japan, China and many other countries. You could "Catch a Rising Star" and witness the next tennis world champion in action.
Todd and Debbie Miller, owners of Miller Tennis Center, were honored to be selected out of hundreds of venues across the US to host this debut event.
"We are thrilled. Our mission is to energize the tennis community and bring world-class events to Buffalo," commented Todd Miller, "Miller Tennis Center members, Nick Sargent and Rich Collins, partners in Sargent & Collins, LLP, immediately stepped up and offered sponsorship of the tournament. We really appreciate their support." Nick and Rich are avid tennis players and fans. Nick's daughter, Sara Sargent, even captained the Nichols' high school tennis team and achieved Division 3 All-American status while playing for Swathmore College.
This United States Tennis Association (USTA) Pro Circuit event is the pathway to Wimbledon, the US Open and other Grand Slam events for aspiring tennis players and a frequent battleground for established professionals.
