What are they?
Professional Networking groups, or Pro-Net, consist of Amherst Chamber of Commerce members interested in networking and promoting themselves and their business. Their mission is to provide a forum for business members to expand the market base for their product or service through networking.
Who are they?
The four ProNet groups are industry exclusive. Members from any industry are allowed to join as long as they do not conflict with another member. There are members from large and small businesses in any number of industries.
Why should I join?
ProNet groups are a fantastic way to get to know other Chamber members and provide a casual setting in which to promote business and develop leads. They are not tip clubs. Attendance and participation is necessary in order to get the most out of membership. The groups meet twice a month in the morning and there is no membership fee. The Pro-Nets are sponsored by the Chamber but each group is run by a member who acts as a facilitator.
How do I join?
It's easy. Just fill out an application form provided by the Chamber. Chamber officials will then review the application and place you in the appropriate Pro-Net group within 30 days of receiving the application. Because they are industry exclusive, there may be a waiting list for certain industries. As soon as a spot opens up you will be placed into a group.
