Councils & Committees
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce prides itself on being an inclusive organization. We strive to continuously offer our members an opportunity to get involved and affect change and action. The Chamber currently operates three working councils: the Public Policy Committee, the Business Resource Council and Emerging Business Leaders.
Public Policy Committee
The goals and objectives of the Public Policy Committee are to monitor and report on public policy that has a commonality with the business community; to develop an Annual Legislative Agenda; and to host Legislative events.
The Business Resource Council is a group of business professionals who volunteer their time to serve as an "advice giving" council to the Amherst Chamber on issues affecting both the Chamber and the greater business community. This council oversees the Chamber's annual Small Business Awards Luncheon and also aids in the development of new Chamber programs and benefits.
The EBL is the Chamber's newest council and it is focused on young professionals, under 39 years old. The council aims to help WNY's young professionals develop skills, network and form synergistic relationships throughout the region.
