MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
HAPPY NEW YEAR! The Amherst Chamber of Commerce is kicking off 2017 with some strong programming and services for our membership. As most of our members recognize, a priority goal for us is to engage our members in our organization. We hope that members realize a tangible value from their membership investment and share a sense of ownership in their Chamber. To that end, we are inviting our members to an inaugural program we are conducting January 19th at 9:00 AM at Daemen College.
This event, spearheaded by the Business Resource Council, and sponsored by Evans Bank is an opportunity for all those in attendance to have a voice in the development of our products and services. This is your chance to tell us about the gaps in small business services in the marketplace. What is keeping you up at night? What is the function you are responsible for that causes you angst? What are you precluded from doing that can increase your profitability because you don't have the resources or don't know how to access? What do you think you need to grow your company? Is your issue Human Resources, Marketing and Advertising, Technology Integration, Access to Capital, Purchasing, Legal.....or something else? Come to this complimentary event and participate in the small group round tables so we can identify and prioritize and launch the services that you need to reach your full potential.
The following week on Friday, January 27th we are hosting our much anticipated Annual Luncheon. This is the jam-packed event that features the State of the Town by Supervisor Dr. Barry Weinstein, the official swearing in our of Board of Directors by New York State Senator Chris Jacobs and the unveiling of our 2017 Public Policy Agenda. As always, we expect a standing room only crowd, significant networking and a fast paced program. Make sure to make your reservation for this early as it is always a sell out!
Like your mailman - neither snow nor rain nor sleet will keep your Chamber from delivering the programs and services you need to grow your business. I hope to see you at one or both of these great events.
