Independent Health offerings new wellness program in 2016
At Independent Health, we understand that small employer groups typically don't have the resources to provide wellness programs to their employees like large employer groups do. That's why we have developed an enhanced wellness program for small groups and individuals called FitWorks Rewards.
This innovative, online program will be included in all 2016 small group products at no additional cost, as policies renew. Plus, employers need to do nothing as Independent Health will be responsible for administering and managing the program.
FitWorks Rewards will offer incentives to employees and their spouse or domestic partner to participate in a variety of monthly health and wellness challenges. By completing claims-verified clinical activities and screenings, along with self-reported wellness challenges, participants will be eligible to receive a reward.
Each month, Independent Health will randomly select reward card recipients from all eligible entries and give away:
• Fifty $100 reward cards for those who take charge of their everyday health, like eating fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep
• Fifty $250 reward cards for taking preventive measures, such as seeing their doctor for an annual checkup or getting a colonoscopy, mammogram or routine bloodwork.
Participants can use the reward cards toward health and wellness services, such as a gym membership, workout apparel, fresh produce, healthy cookbooks, and more.
