EBL Seeks Dynamic Event Name Suggestions
The Emerging Business Leaders First Annual Awards Gala, widely recognized as the celebration of the year for Western New York's young professionals, is slated to return on Thursday, September 19, 2013. The unique experiences, awards, cocktails, music and dancing will all be back, but this year, the name of the event will be different. The Chamber's Emerging Business Leaders (EBL) group is looking to change the name of the gala to something as entertaining and fun as the event itself. The EBL gala planning committee has decided to challenge Western New Yorkers to get their creative juices flowing and submit their best new name ideas. The person who submits the winning idea will receive a free ticket to the event.
While awards galas are typically synonymous with sit-down dinners, black-tie dress and long speeches, the 2012 First Annual EBL Gala took an unconventional approach to the traditional ritual. The gala featured open seating, food stations, pinnacle vodka specialty drinks, photo booths, swag bags, live music and a DJ. Excitement built throughout the night, as award winners were announced live at the event and did brief interviews on stage. Attendees can expect more of the same in September 2013. The gala committee is already busy conceptualizing unique ways to honor Western New York's next generation of talent.
Branding this premier event begins with naming it something as fresh and up-and-coming as the honorees themselves. Submit your idea, and play an important role making the event a success.
If you weren't able to attend last year's gala, but would still like to get a feel of what to expect this year, you can look at some photos from the night here. To submit your name idea for the event, email Caitlin McNulty at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet it to @EBL_of_WNY under the hashtag #EBLParty.
