CHAMBER WELCOMES WORLD-RENOWNED BUSINESS ETIQUETTE SPEAKER

 

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce understands the importance of proper business etiquette in all settings. That's why our Business Resource Council and Emerging Business Leaders have teamed up to welcome internationally known business etiquette speaker John Bourdage to present "The Social Advantage". The workshop will be held at Bryant and Stratton College, located at 3650 Millersport Highway in Getzville, on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 8:30am - 10:00am.

 

This presentation will teach attendees how to develop and strengthen their interpersonal skills. Whether networking, socializing at a business event, hosting an event or sharing dinner with your peers, the skills learned in this workshop will create the competitive advantage essential for success. Bourdage will discuss topics such as first impressions, how to make proper introductions, the rules of conversation and the principles for building a successful network.

 

Bourdage, founder of Bourdage Consulting, has dedicated his life's work to the improvement of interpersonal relationships. He is a graduate of the internationally renowned Ivor Spencer School for Butler Administration and Personal Assistants in London and received training in such areas as manners and etiquette, food and wines, entertaining, British style butler service, and the fine arts. Bourdage is dedicated to teaching businessmen to become more skilled at business etiquette, networking, and projecting a professional image in formal and informal settings. He is currently host of Wine, Wit, and Wisdom which is shown on local television and has written several articles on manners and etiquette that were published in Buffalo Spree Magazine and local newspapers.  John currently writes a manners column for Great Lakes Life Magazine.
