Benefit Solutions - Our Response To Your Employee Benefit Needs
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce has provided group health insurance for our members for many years. There was a time when this offering was very cost effective for small businesses and we had as many as 2,000 firms enrolled. As the cost of health care escalated and mandates drove up premium costs, the advantages diminished. In response, the Chamber created our own in house Insurance Brokerage subsidiary. We are the only Chamber in the region that offers this option to our members. What that means to you is; we can create a customized health and benefits plan for you and your employees, based on your specific needs. Unlike the group insurance, you are not given a pre-determined plan with no choice of benefits. If cost is your primary driver, we will provide you with quotes on a variety of products that meet your financial requirements. If specific benefits are important to you, a menu of plans will be provided for your review that can include expanded benefit options. And, if you are a very large firm and want the highest level of professional service simultaneous to supporting your Chamber of Commerce, our partner for large group business, Lawley Insurance, will work with us to respond to your employee benefit requirements.
Our in-house professional and licensed insurance broker is available every day to assist you. There is no cost for our expertise and no additional or embedded fees in the premium costs for our services. The Amherst Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing products and services that nurture the prosperity of our members and the community at large and this is another tool we use to achieve our goals. In addition to customizing our service for the individual client, we provide critical information and updates on the changes in the health care industry.
On the Amherst Chamber's website, we have a tab dedicated to Benefit Solutions which overviews health insurance options, answers some frequently asked questions and gives you information on our partnership with Lawley. Our website also has links to previous articles in our monthly "Health Care Corner" Newsletter. If you are interested in being added to the distribution list for this newsletter, email Communications Coordinator Michelle McNamara.
