The internship process can be beneficial for both businesses and interns. Businesses can receive cost-effective, knowledgeable additions to their staff, and students or recent graduates can gain the skills they need to launch their career. If managed correctly, an internship program can create a mutually beneficial relationship between universities and businesses. Find out how to design a program or refine an existing one so that businesses and interns get the most out of the experience

About Robert Orrange: Robert has been the Associate Director of the University at Buffalo Career Services office since 1999 and has been working in the SUNY system since 1989. He is the career center's point person for internship initiatives and has taught communications courses for UB's MBA and accounting programs, Cornell University's Supervisory Studies program and the Buffalo State College Communications Department. Bob is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops and has conducted sessions for clients such as Fisher-Price, Dunlop and Moog. He has graduate degrees in both English and college student personnel administration and an undergraduate degree in communications.
