Understanding Social Media ROI


Overview

There's no denying the magnitude and increasing impact that social media is having upon the business world.  Entrepreneurs and marketing professionals in every industry are reevaluating their business plans and strategies to incorporate this growing phenomenon - which is clearly here to stay.

 

Social media ROI is one of the hottest topics in the social media eco-system as it relates to marketing. How do you accurately measure the impact of a social media program?  What strategies should you consider?  How do you maintain relevant content?  How do you respond to negative comments?  This session will discuss these topics plus appropriate benchmark metrics to measure the success rate of a social media campaign.

 

Objectives

At the end of the session the participant will be able to:

  • Identify business opportunities through social media
  • Determine appropriate metrics to measure success rates of social media campaigns

Class Instructors

 

Mark Didas

Mark Didas, founder of waveSpawn, began his professional career in Boston, MA.  From 1993 to 1996 Mark worked as an Art Director and Creative Director for Directech, which provided business-to-business direct marketing solutions.  In 1996, he co-founded eMerge Marketing - which offered integrated direct marketing and interactive campaigns.  From 1999 through 2004 Mark gained international business experience working throughout Latin and South America.  In 2004 he joined IP.com as the Director of Marketing and Business Development.  In 2009, Mark leveraged his years of experience in direct marketing, web development, public relations, and sales to create waveSpawn - a fully integrated social media, communications, and interactive marketing firm.  Mark received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Syracuse University and his MBA from the University at Buffalo.
