This offering is brought to you free of charge by the Chamber's Business Resource Council.

The Member Success Story Showcase enables Chamber members to highlight the success of their business to more than 2,300 Amherst Chamber members. Members of the Amherst Chamber in good standing may apply to have their business showcased by the Chamber. If chosen, the member will be honored at a Business After Hours and will have their success story published on the Amherst Chamber website as well as in some of our publications.

How to Apply:

Applying is easy, simply fill out the Member Success Showcase form, which can be downloaded below.

Please fax the completed application to (716) 632-0548, attention Kim Whelan.

Your application will be reviewed by the Business Resource Council and, if chosen, you will be contacted by a representative from the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.  The stories will be written based on the information provided and will be limited to 200 words.

Second Quarter Member Success Showcase: Pizza Plant

This month, the Business Resource Council is pleased to announce that the 2nd Quarter Member Success Showcase Award will be presented to Pizza Plant!

The Syracuse family opened the first Pizza Plant location in October of 1980 in a tiny former submarine sandwich shop. A second, larger store opened in August 1982, with the infamous Pod already on its way to achieving cult status.  In 1987, the original Pizza Plant moved to a larger, more modern location, which contained outdoor seating on a wonderful awning covered deck.

Yet another location was added in 1994. This Pizza Plant restaurant introduced the Italian Pub concept that remains today. Craft brews and wine were introduced to an eager audience and in 1999 the original store received the same makeover to reflect the newfound Italian Pub theme.

In 2011, Pizza Plant bought a freestanding former restaurant on Transit Road at Sheridan Drive, taking on an ambitious remodeling project to turn a drive through bakery into an Italian Pub. Now complete, guests at Pizza Plant's most recent location are amazed by the elegant design, thirty rotating craft brews on tap and the comfortable pub like ambiance.

Pizza Plant was chosen by the Business Resource Council to receive this award precisely due to their most recent store location. The Council applauds the restaurant's determination and dedication to turning a long-vacant storefront into a thriving business once again.
