For 25 years, the Amherst Chamber of Commerce has been assisting our members with their health insurance needs.  For most of that time, local carriers (BC/BS, Independent Health and Univera) offered association plans that provided richer benefits at a lower group premium rate than was available directly.  For a number of reasons those offerings became less cost effective for our members and provided very limited benefit options.  We were advised by the carriers about 4 years ago that the products were going to continue to be limited and may, at some time, be eliminated.  Our research indicated that the cost of employee health insurance was one of the top three concerns of our members so we knew we had to be pro-active in finding a solution.  We are the only Chamber of Commerce east of Syracuse that created our own in-house employee benefits brokerage, Benefit Solutions, to meet the specific needs of small businesses.  While we can and do service many large businesses, we have developed a service model unmatched in the marketplace that provides customized product and service for businesses with 2 to 50 employees.  You can call the Chamber and have a fully trained and licensed staff that will meet with you and explain all your options with a focus on cost and/or benefits.  Unlike the other Chambers of Commerce in the marketplace, we do not charge an enrollment fee or a service charge and you can pay your premium monthly.  We are growing this division daily and will expand our professional staff as our enrollment and client base grows.  For the highest level of service and the most diverse array of health care options, call Benefit Solutions at the Amherst Chamber of Commerce today, 632-6905.
