Attention Young Professionals - We Have Opportunities For You!!

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce recently launched a new intiative we are currently calling "likemind". This council is focused on individuals between the ages of 21 to 40. Our overall goal is to develop interaction among our participants and provided forums and opportunities for their ideas so we can generate communication across cultural, professional and personal paths and assist in the growth of our regional economy.

Topics:

The following areas are being considered as part of our Program of Work:

• Specialists vs. Generalists - How will employers deal with this generation.
• Project vs. Hourly - How this concept will change the workplace
• Leadership - How to become a community steward with a creative philosphy
• Communications - How to meld current corporate communication methods to respond to this generation
• Compromise - How do we get employers to embrace this generation's ideas and still meet their goals
