Chamber to host Public Forum on Downsizing Town Board
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a public Forum on the issue of Downsizing the Amherst Town Board on May 25, 2010 at Amherst High School. The Forum will be a panel format with each panelist responding to questions which they would have the most information to answer.
Participants for the Panel include:
Kate Foster, UB Regional Institute
Jim Gardner, Vice Dean, UB Law School
Kevin Gaughan, Regional Downsizing Activist
Robert Brewer, Jr., Former Amherst Town Councilman
Rich Kelman will serve as moderator for this informative public event. The goal of the Forum is to prepare voters for the Town’s Referendum vote in Jun. The Amherst Chamber of Commerce does not have a position on the downsizing issue.
The Public Forum is free and open to the public. Please join us from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Amherst High School for this informational event.
