Chamber to Create Platform for Candidates in Office

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce understands your frustrations with our elected officials. We are all feeling discouraged with the business climate and economy due to decisions made at all levels of government. This is why our Public Affairs Council has become more active regarding the public policy decisions made at the local, town level.

The recently reactivated Council has formed a Policy Platform Task Force with the goal of identifying the five points most important to our members. The Chamber and Council need your help to accomplish this though!  We want to know the two or three issues you feel are most important in the Town of Amherst. Is re-development your area of concern? Or, maybe infrastructure problems are what makes you want to pull your hair out each week. Whatever your concerns, they are ours as well!  We will compile the top five issues from our members and create a report card for our elected officials to be publicized in the fall.

Please respond with your concerns by email to ccampbell@amherst.org by July 5th. This is your chance to tell our leaders what really matters most to the business community!
